RUFFLES FOR SPRING

Well, writing this post has taken longer than expected! If these photos seem a little like I’ve gone to visit my rich grandma in the countryside, that’s kind of like it is. A while back I came up with the idea of using the hotel I work in as a photo location. After all, it’s not like everyone has a possibility of shooting in such a fantastic setting and the days here also aren’t warm enough to venture outside in blouses and pumps. I desperately wanted to take photos of the beautiful blouse I got from Zara and now I can show you this fantastic location in addition. You’ve probably already seen that ruffles are huge this spring (figuratively and literally – I mean, have you seen them?) and I have absolutely fallen for the trend. It’s so fresh and feminine and honestly fits so well with the elegance of this grand, historic swiss-style building. She truly is a grand dame by the fjord so if you're ever in Norway, come say hi!

I feel that the ruffled blouse and jeans combination will be my go to ensemble this spring. It's a wonderfully simple match and the ruffles add the needed "oomph!" I sometimes feel lacking with basic jeans outfits. I'm already squeezing the maximum out of these Aldo shoes as well, seeing as I've paired them with virtually every outfit in the recent weeks! Nude pumps are a simple and beautiful piece that pulls just about any outfit together.

As mentioned, these pictures were shot in my workplace - the Kviknes Hotel. It is a beautiful, old hotel with a long winding history. I've grown more and more attached to the place in my years working here and have found the historic site very fascinating. Sometimes I can forget that I work in such a beautiful environment, but it's really times like this photoshoot when I get to detach myself from the work element related to it and really appreciate its beauty. The hotel dates back to 1877 and has a vast history and an an impressive collection of art, mostly featuring what I believe to be one of the most beautiful locations in the world - the Sognefjord area in Norway.

Need pildid said niisiis ülesvõetud minu töökohas - Kviknes hotellis.

That's it from my end today! Hope you are having a great day! Full blast work days are beginning and I'm trying to keep everything in check. Lately I've had to learn so much about planning my own time, it's something I've never had to take seriously before. Sure, you have to plan your time in university (and high school), but somehow it came more naturally then. These days, after a long day at work, I feel like watching Netflix curled up in bed instead of doing something constructive with my evenings. Somehow wasting my time like this makes me sad, because I feel like I haven't achieved much with my day. These days I've started to set daily goals for myself and really achieve more than just eat-work-sleep-repeat with my time. I might write about this another time! Right now you know what time it is - Netflix and pyjamas! Do you have a favourite clothing style for spring? What is it? Have a good one! Lots and lots of love!

Olge tublid! Kas teil on mõni kevadine lemmik riietusese?
