VALENTINE'S GIFTS FOR HIM

As I’m continuing with the series leading up to Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d tackle the impossible task of finding gifts for guys. Girls are so easy to understand – a new perfume, dainty jewelry or anything pink, whilst guys, I have a much harder time finding gifts for. For me, the most important criteria for the perfect gift is seeing it utilized to death. Nothing makes me happier than seeing said gift used or worn all the time. Of course, guys can be very different, but from what I’ve understood, they’re not really that into all the bells and whistles and cutesy stuff. Guys can still appreciate sleek, beautiful design though and I’ve gathered some items here that have worked as good gifts for me.

  1. Cool shades. My boyfriend told me he would never spend more than $10 on a pair of sunglasses. What a great opportunity to give him some cool, designer ones. Now you can both look sleek AF.
  2. Bluetooth speaker. This Marshall one has my heart. Not only is it a practical gift as a speaker, it’s also such a great design element!
  3. Craft beer. When in doubt, buy craft beer. This is a tried and tested formula and there’s always something new and special to try. There’s even options of getting monthly craft beer subscriptions (just like a beauty box, haha), but I’ve yet to see any that deliver to Norway/Estonia.
  4. Sleek wallet. Guys don’t like bulky wallets (obviously because they don’t have awesome handbags to put them in). There are plenty of sleek wallets on the market, but this one from Craftory takes my breath away. ASOS alternatives here and here.
  5. A book related to his hobby. A likes hiking and always watches those survival shows on Discovery, so he’d like a book on staying alive in the woods. Is he into science? Maybe a Stephen Hawking book. Cooking? Maybe a book about steaks (mmmm..).
  6. Smartwatch. Everyone needs a smartwatch and I’m yet to find a guy who doesn’t want one. My favourite is obviously the Moto 360 2nd gen.
  7. Console game. This one is always a winner. From my experience I can recommend GTA 5 (but he’s probably played that) or Fallout 4. A newcomer for this year is Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (I’d want to play that but A will have to do all the shooting!).
  8. A cool bag. Depending on his preference (like does he go to school with a messenger bag or use a backpack), getting him a sleek upgrade might work. I really love this bag, but it’s only available in the US. Some cool alternatives from ASOS here and here.
  9. Tickets. This is a wide category. Is his favourite band playing in town? Maybe he’d like to go racing in a sports car. Is there a science museum he’s never been in? If all else fails, take him to see a guy movie (so Fifty Shades Darker is out of the question :D).
I    I hope these ideas inspired if you're still looking for a present. Keep in mind these are all (with the exception of the last one) materialistic things and not everyone wants to give or recieve physical items. Do you have a great gift planned for a loved one (materialistic or not)? Let me know in the comments! I'd love to hear your ideas (on gifts or on Valentine's Day in general) and be inspired in return.

      Have a great day!
ds Minu jaoks on iga tähtpäeva (sünnipäev, jõulud, aastapäev) kõige keerulisem osa meesosapoolele kingituse leidmine.

  2. Bluetooth kõlar. See Marshalli oma pole just kõige odavamate killast, kuid jällegi - aegumatu ning lisaks muusikamängimisele lisab toale kauni disainielemendi!
  3. Käsitööõlu. See on alati ohutu valik (muidugi eeldusel, et su boyfriendile meeldib õlu). A vaieldamatu lemmik on Põhjala toodang.
  4.  Minimalistlik rahakott. Pakse rahakotte on tüütu kaasas kanda (ilmselgelt sest meestel pole lahedaid käekotte, kuhu neid panna). See Craftory nahatöökoja minimalistlik disain paneb südame kiiremini tuksuma! NB! Rahakotile saab ka tasuta initsiaale pressida!
  5. Tema hobiga seotud raamat. A vaatab alati Discovery pealt ellujäämissaateid - selline raamat võiks talle sobida. On ta teadushuviline? Äkki midagi Stephen Hawkingult
  6. Nutikell. Minu lemmik on ilmselgelt Moto 360 2nd gen.
  9. Piletid. See on väga lai kategooria, aga kui leiad õige variandi, võib see teda väga rõõmustada. Kas ta lemmikbänd esineb kuskil? Meeldiks talle sportautoga rallitada? Lasketiirus tulistada?
