HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hi, dears! I want to wish all the merriest, most wonderful Christmas time you can ever imagine! I've been stuffing my face with all of the festive foods and can't imagine any gym will take off the weight any time soon! These gifts were just waiting to be photographed, they looked so adorable.

THE GLOW FACTOR

I'm always on the hunt for the perfect skincare product and forever eager to try out the cult classics. You've probably heard of this one - the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel - winning awards and being praised by YouTubers galore. This non-foaming cleanser supposedly restores radiance and reveals enviably soft, supple skin. While the hefty price tag adds a certain luxury element to the equation, I believe to have enough common sense to judge the product relentless. There is one specific element to this cleanser that I just cannot get enough of though - and that is the glow factor.

EVERYDAY RANDOMS N°3

Hello, everyone! We've been on the road since Monday now and reached our destination on Wednesday. It is so good to be home and great to see my family! I have a lot of posts I'm working on in my head, but it is probably going to take a little bit to get them on the computer screen. I thought I'd share some snaps from my travel days.

BY GOLLY, BE JOLLY!

We got the first Christmas decorations up in November and decked out the tree weeks ago, but somehow Christmas still felt so far away and there seemed to be plenty of time to take photos for the blog. Only suddenly I discovered we are leaving to Estonia in just a couple of days! I’m waiting anxiously to meet my relatives and friends but as far as Christmas decorations are concerned, my mother and I don’t really see eye to eye. I quickly took photos of our modest abode and the travelling for Christmas can begin! I’m a little stressed out about packing though, because I need to plan ahead for a whole month in Estonia as well as our week-long trip to Portugal… not to mention I always overestimate the time in Estonia and make plans to study ALL OF THE Norwegian, take a hundred outfit shots, manage the blog every single day, make time to go to shops-cafés-restaurants-the gym AND visit all of my friends. Needless to say, I hardly ever get it all done. Well, here's hoping! I hope you enjoy our decorations for Christmas and maybe find some last minute inspiration for yourself!

THE CUTEST CHRISTMAS JUMPER

I walked into H&M and knew I had to have it!

GET THE PERFECT DIY HOLIDAY NAILS

The festive days are upon us and the celebration requires something a little extra on the nails as well. Although I have bottles of glitter nail polish lying around, I hardly ever reach for them. Normally, it feels a little too girly and brings back memories of middle school. Christmas and New Year, however, are a wonderful time to add a little bedazzle into your life. I find that painting just the ring finger adds a special touch without making the whole look feel too overpowering.

LAST OF THE AUTUMN DAYS

We took a trip to the nearby town of Sogndal to enjoy some early Christmas shopping and decided to snap a few photos while there. It really was one of the last days before it started snowing. Foolishly I dressed in only a t-shirt and a leather jacket (what was I thinking?), probably wearing less clothes than sometime in the summer this year. I was fooled by the fact there was no snow on the ground, but damn, was it cold!

12 BEAUTY BITS TO MAKE YOUR WINTER SUPER COZY

Don't the cold wintery days make you just want to stay wrapped in a blanket and simultaneosly take one long bath? That's definitely how these dark days are making me feel and I'm sure I'm not the only one. The time before holidays can sometimes be bit of a stressful one, be it work (always running), travel (parents' house at Christmas) or festivities (dinner parties at your place). That topped with not getting enough sun is enough to make anyone stressed out. I've made a list of 12 things that I either already love or would like to get for Christmas time to make it that much cozier. These things could all also be used as gifts, either for a special person in your life.. or, yourself! You deserve it!

STILL MOMENT

A QUIET DAY AT HOME WITH COFFEE AND INSTAGRAM

IN THE PADDOCK

Definitely not a title I ever imagined writing. Hi, lovelies! We spent a lovely afternoon in the nearby forest walking with Noodle and I thought I could share some of the photos with you! My days have mostly been quiet.

LIPSTICK IS MY VICE

I’d actually be lying to you if I said lipstick is my favourite part of makeup. I struggle finding shades that fit me (those past mistakes with hot pink lips!), I’m not exactly blessed with a  Kylie-Jenner-esque pair and as soon as I apply any products, I immediately start unconsciously licking them off (a habit I'm trying to kick, I assure you).

RAINY DAY

The weather turned really dreadful really fast over here in these parts and there's really nothing fun to do in the day time. Even Noodle, who usually is a big fan of going outside, would rather stay indoors.

BLOG, UPDATED

I don't know if you ever feel this way, but autumn makes me feel like new beginnings. Some of us have to go to school, some back to work after the holidays, but in every way autumn feels like waiting for something new and exciting.

BY THE SEA

Technically by the fjord, but that just didn't have a proper ring to it. We found a nice fjord-side location and decided to snap a couple of photos. I don't have anything too fancy on, but it's how I look most of the days.

WOOL COAT FRENZY

.

We have not been blessed with any nice weather these last weeks. It has just been raining non-stop and I've lost all hope of ever wearing anything impractical (read: not warm) ever again. Just as I'm typing this, I'm wrapped in a blanket with two pairs of sweaters, drinking my third cup of tea.

LA FEMME

I had to think long and hard about the significance of perfume in my life before starting this post. It's easy to remain shallow and claim we like a certain nuance or note in a scent, but what does that really mean?

GIRL BOSS

We had the chance to spend a couple of days in Estonia and of course I couldn't resist snapping some photos. This is the outfit I chose to wear for the day and then we went looking for a background to match the look.

FALL MOOD

This post might not resonate with some (I saw a post on Instagram saying it's 30°C in Estonia at the moment), but here in Norway, I could count the nice days we had in August on one hand.

SKIN SAVIOURS X3

Skin care is something that has always been close to my heart. Having oily, congested skin, I'm always looking for ways of improving its condition.

CITY BOUND

Hi everyone! We had the chance to spend a little mini-holiday weekend in Oslo the other day and of course I had to incorporate some city scenery outfit shots into the mix. This trip made me realise how much I love the city

LOVE FLUSH

Once in a while you stumble across a product that you didn't even know you needed and now can't live without. Such was the case with this gorgeous blush palette from Too Faced.

MINI INTERIOR HAUL

Hello, everyone! I have a little interior pieces haul to bring to you today. We took a little trip to a nearby town on our day off and I came back with some goodies.

SUNDAY RANDOMS Nº2

Hello, dear friends! Time is going by so fast, I can't believe it's already the middle of July. It's been a while since I posted photos of my everyday life, so I figured why not do it today. These are simple snaps that don't quite fit anywhere else or don't have a series of their own.

READY FOR THE BEACH(ED BRONZER)

The summer here has turned more into the "heavy showers" kind of affair and I've been dreaming of places with a lot more warmth, bikinis, tanned bodies, coconuts and palm trees. I've even checked the weather forecast (Norwegians' favourite discussion topic) and there doesn't seem to be a sunny day in sight. I guess the closest I can get to palm trees, then, is the beautiful summery package of the Urban Decay Beached Bronzers hailing from the Summer 2016 Collection.

GARDEN UPPER

This post has been a long time coming. The different stages of getting our deck to look somewhat decent have taken a long time. It all started in March, when we came up with the idea of building a half-wall of sorts to make the sitting area more private.

BRONZE GODDESS

As many of you may know, my quest for looking fit, tan and bronzed, sort of like something out of a Tom Ford advertisment, is still ongoing. If I could, I'd spend entire days, lounging in the sun, recreating the Italian holiday and easygoing vibes of the characters in the movie The Talented Mr Ripley (without all the murdering, of course).

NEW FAVOURITES FROM L'OCCITANE

L'Occitane is a French make up brand I have always loved. When I was a student barely making ends meet, I would go to their counter at department stores and gawk at all the wonderful displays of body nourishing goodness (occasionally making a splurge but then eating ramen for the rest of the week).

THAT SUNKISSED GLOW

The sun has started to peek through the clouds more and more and brought a deep yearning of everything sunkissed to me. I've been browsing websites for all things glowy, bronzing, shimmering and hydrating, starting from the NUXE Shimmering Dry Oil and ending with new bronzers from the Urban Decay Summer 2016 Collection (spoiler: review coming soon!).

THE SAD STORY OF THE MARY-LOU MANIZER

I was gutted when my favourite highlighter in the whole world, the Mary-Lou Manizer, shattered into a million little beautiful shimmering pieces across my parents bedroom floor. I'd heard of people fixing their compacts, but always thought it'd be extremely complicated or just not worth the hassle.

SUNDAY RANDOMS

Maybe you've noticed I've been a little AWOL lately. It's because I work mostly in the summers and my life has pretty much been filled with that for now. I am not one for complaining, but working a lot, trying to keep the blog alive and finding time for my family (Ahto & Noodle) has become a real juggling game.

THE BREAKFAST CLUB

I'm a breakfast kind of girl. The type of meal, where you can really sit down and take a break is my favourite. Porridge was never my first choice of food, even when my mom insisted I finish it before downing a bowl of chocolate cereal. I have gradually grown up, and taken a liking to the mushy breakfast.

APRIL FAVOURITES

May has already sprung upon us and for the celebration of a new month, I thought I'd show you the products, items and things I've been loving lately. I've added a mixture of items with features from beauty, accessories and media. Let's get to it!

THE BLUSHED NUDES

Eyeshadow palettes fall into the category of some of my favourite things. If you can get one for an affordable price, that works like a wonder – well, I love that even more. I don’t go too wild with my colour selection though, as the neutral shades of tan, brown and gold usually work the best for me. I was in the mood of trying something new, so I went for the Blushed Nudes palette by Maybelline.

ON AN ISLAND IN THE SUN

It is way too early to dream about summer, so that's exactly what I am doing. It's not even May and there is nothing I'd rather do than sit on the porch in my bikini with a cold berry smoothie in hand. The weather is, of course, inadequate even for spring, with windy days and moody clouds. In any case, I am already prepared for the summer, even if it means having to wear a bikini indoors...

MY PERFUME COLLECTION

While being the self-proclaimed perfume fanatic that I am, I don't tend to have that many in my possession at any given time. It all just gets a bit too crowded, too hard to choose from and in the end the scents just tend to stay unused until time of expiration. I try to follow a rule of one-out-one-in (sometimes I fail though) so that the shelf doesn't get too crowded. Allthough it is better to store your perfumes in the dark, for me, like for many, the intricate bottles are so pleasing to look at, I don't have the heart to lock them in a cupboard. So without further ado, here is a peek at my my perfume collection.

THE BOWL THAT MAKES EVERYONE HAPPY

I'm, of course, talking about the smoothie bowl. When these first started emerging, the grumpy old lady in me raised its head and mumbled: "Why should I start eating my smoothies any different? They're have been perfectly fine drunk from a glass so far." One day I had some strawberries at hand and thought I could give this a go. I was not dissapointed. There is something essentially rewarding about beautifying your breakfast, or any meal for that matter, and I've been obsessed with these bowls of happiness ever since.

SOMETHING WONDERFUL-SMELLING THIS WAY COMES

If there's one thing I hold dear to my heart, it's the wonderful world of perfume. I would describe myself as in sort of a transtitional phase, with mainstream perfumes not giving me a sufficient  thrill anymore and niche perfumes feeling a bit over the top. This is the perfect entry level for Jo Malone perfumes, because while feeling like a luxurious exclusive addition to my perfume collection, they remain simple and elegant in nature. Here's a quick layout of the two perfumes I recently recieved: the English Pear & Freesia and the Pomegranate Noir colognes.

HOME IMPROVEMENT PENDING

We've been looking to fill an extra room to serve as a sort of home office area and it'd also have to be a place to put all the extra things we can't fit anywhere else. It served this purpose before, but in a manner where everything was all in the open, stacked up against a wall in the room. I've talked about my interior inspirations here, now I'm happy to say we made the trip to IKEA yesterday and managed to assemble everything in an evenings time.

SHADOW FLORAL

I have been a certified designer bag ogler for the longest time and allthough this doesn't really reach the heights of Louis Vuitton or Dior, it certainly does not mean this bag is any less beautiful to look at! I've always loved Ted Baker for their aesthetics and consistency in design - when you look at their bags, you immediately feel the signature. Not to mention the beautiful feminine patterns they create. The Ted Baker Sefina Shadow Floral clutch bag went straight to my ASOS shopping bag without even a heartbeat.

GEL NAIL POLISH: WHY I LOVE IT AND YOU COULD TOO

It seems I always find at least one damaging beauty habit to indulge in. It used to be eyelash extensions from what my lashes came out in a tragic state, and now it is gel nail polish. It started small, like it always does, with me getting my toes done in the salon. The experience was exuberating, albeit also a little scary letting someone touch my feet (it's a thing I have, I don't know). Someone pampering you for an hour, scrubs, masks, perfectly shaped toenails... I didn't even know it could be done.

TRUE BLUE

Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! Ours has been really sunny and wonderful! Today I'm sharing some outfit photos from a little walk we took yesterday. I kept it quite casual, as you would, I suppose, picking up furniture and walking a dog. The scenery on these photos is just wonderful and I feel so lucky to live in Norway!

MULTIMASKING

Hello, darlings! I have a topic close to my heart to talk about today. You all have probably heard of / tried the new (well, semi-new) trick of multimasking. I, too, had come across articles and beauty gurus talking about it, but kind of shrugged it off as a new pointless trend. But boy, was I wrong! Stick around and check out the trick I used so all parts of my face were happy with just one fifteen minute pampering mask.

FRESH KICKS (OF BEL AIR)

Hello, my lovelies! On a scale from 1 to 10, how proud do you think I am of that post title? There isn't too much I have to say except I bought new kicks, thought they were amazing and took 109228439 pictures of them. They are the adidas Originals Superstar 80s Rose Gold Metal Toe Cap Trainers and they're just perfection. I immediately fell in love with them and put myself on the waiting list so the Zalando website would notify me if my size came back to stock.

SUNDAY IN PICTURES: 3RD OF APRIL

Hello, everyone! Today I'm coming to you with another Sunday in pictures post, allthough today it mostly consists of snapshots of Noodle being cute. I've had a cold for the past few days and have not been feeling well at all! So I've been slowly but steadily sneezing, using up every single handkerchief in this household and drinking excessive amounts of peppermint tea. I managed to snap some pictures though and as always, Noodle was my favourite subject.

NEW IN: TRAVEL EDITION

Hello, lovelies! I hope you are all having a wonderful Friday today! As promised, I'm continuing with my regular posts, allthough I can't say I usually have a specific order to them. It's mostly what has been on my mind or making me happy at the time and that I'm hoping will interest you as well.

BACK HOME

I had the privilege of waking up in my own bed after a week and it feels really nice. This is the last sort of "update" post and everything should go back to normal from here. Today I'm unpacking, as usual we came back with the whole car full of things (and food, so much food).

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

We are back travelling, just by the time I had started enjoying staying in Pärnu, after dealing with a skin allergy, wisdom tooth and Noodle feeling sick and not eating. Today is the first day in a week I'm not worried about someone's health and ironically also the day we have start moving again.

BLUSH O'CLOCK

Hello, lovely people! Today I'm doing a post that I've been wanting to do for ages and ages - and that is the outfit of the day post. There isn't too much use for the style of clothes I like to wear where I live (sweatpants city), so as soon as I found out I was coming to Estonia, I knew I'd want to take some photos. However, somehow in my mind I was coming to a tropical island with +15°C, constant sunshine and Skittles pouring down instead of rain (well, not really, but you get the gist).

SUNDAY IN PICTURES: LØSBY GODS

Hello, lovelies! Hope you are enjoying your Sunday today and have a cup of coffee at hand! For todays post I wanted to share some pictures from Løsby Gods Manor. Like I said in the last post, I really enjoy staying there, it's very cozy and certainly has a high quality feeling to it. It's part of the Historic Hotels chain in Norway and dates back to the 19th century. When we stay there usually we are pretty tired from all the driving, but we've taken some walks around the site - there are some beautiful scenic views over pastures, lakes and golf courses.

TRAVELLING

Hello, lovely people! I wanted to give you a little notice that I'm travelling today to my hometown in Estonia. It takes us three days to reach there, since we have to split the way to Estonia into two days (otherwise we'd have to drive for 12 hours through the night and that's never a good idea). So today I am writing to you from Løsby Gods Manor near Oslo. It's my favourite place to stay at when we travel
